Metal adjustable supports and falsework

Metal (steel/galvanized) supports are the industry standard for indoor spaces. Unlike plastic supports (which are mainly used for outdoor terraces), the metal subsystem provides maximum strength, fire safety, and long-term operation.

  • Consists of a base plate (which is glued or screwed to the concrete floor), a threaded shaft, and an upper head.

  • Adjustment: Height accuracy is adjusted in millimeters using a screw (from 30 mm to 1000+ mm).

How are metal supports fixed?

1. Stringers — horizontal profiles:

  • Metal poles that connect the pedestals together.

  • oNecessary when the floor height exceeds 20-30 cm, or when a heavy load is expected in the space (e.g. server cabinets).

2. Shock absorbers (Gaskets):

  • Special rubber or plastic gaskets are placed on top of the pedestal, which reduce vibration and creaking noise when walking.

Advantages of metal supports

  • High load-bearing capacity: withstands serious point and distributed loads ($15–30\text{ kN/m}^2$).

  • Fire safety (Class A1): Metal does not burn, which is critically important for offices and data centers.

  • Long service life: galvanized steel is protected from rust and maintains its geometry for decades

  • Precise leveling: Allows you to achieve a perfectly straight surface even on uneven concrete floors. Key advantages

  • Concealment of communications: Electrical wiring, internet cables, pipes, and air conditioning systems are completely hidden under the floor, giving the interior a clean and organized look.

  • Easy access and repair: Any tile can be easily lifted, making it possible to repair communications or add new cables without demolishing the floor.

  • Height adjustment: allows for perfect alignment of uneven base surfaces.

  • Sound and heat insulation: The empty space under the floor creates an additional barrier against noise and cold. Types and materials of false ceilings False ceilings are made of different materials, depending on the load the space is designed for:

False ceiling is one of the most practical and functional solutions for arranging modern interior spaces. It consists of special adjustable supports (pedestals) and tiles laid on them, which creates free space between the main floor and the surface. This system is especially popular in offices, server rooms, banks, commercial areas and modern residential lofts. (Loft)

Calcium sulfate tiles (Calcium Sulfate):

  • It is distinguished by its high fire-resistant properties and sound insulation.

  • Withstands heavy loads and is used in spaces with high technical requirements.

High-Density Chipboard:

  • The most common choice for standard offices.

  • It is light, economical and durable enough.

Metal / steel structures :

Used in server rooms, data centers and industrial areas where very heavy equipment is located. Surface Finish (Top Layer) The surface of the false ceiling can be pre-coated or arranged after installation:

  • Carpet Tiles: Most popular in offices because they are easy to remove.

  • LVT / Vinyl: A moisture-resistant and easy-to-clean surface.

  • Laminate or parquet: for an aesthetic look.

  • Porcelain stoneware / tiles: used in representative areas, halls and sanitary facilities.

  • Antistatic coating: specifically for server rooms and laboratories, where the accumulation of static electronic charge is a danger. What should you consider when selecting?

  • Ceiling height: False ceilings take up at least 8–10 cm (sometimes even 30–50 cm) of height, so in spaces with low ceilings, the final height must be calculated in advance.

  • Load: Calculate the weight of the furniture or appliances that will be placed in the room.

  • Humidity: In wet areas or basement-type spaces, it is necessary to select a special moisture-resistant material.
